Getting started

What is ShowroomShot?

ShowroomShot is an AI-powered image tool built specifically for UK car dealers. You upload a photo taken on a forecourt or car park, and we automatically remove the background, replace it with a clean studio environment, and apply your dealership's logo and brand colour.

The result is a professional studio-quality image — without a photographer, studio, or editing software. It's a sister product to Reshot.co.uk, which does the same for estate agents.

Do I need any technical skills to use it?

None at all. If you can upload a photo to WhatsApp, you can use ShowroomShot. The workflow is:

  • Set up your brand once (logo + colour) in Account Settings
  • Upload your forecourt photos
  • Download your studio images

There's no Photoshop, no editing, no learning curve.

How do I get started?

Sign up for a free account — you get 3 images to try with no card required. Once you're in, go to Account Settings, upload your logo and set your brand colour, then head to the Dashboard to upload your first photo. You'll have a result in under 2 minutes.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new account gets 2 free image enhancements — no credit card required. This lets you test the quality and see how your branding looks before committing to a plan. Your 2 free images never expire.

How it works

How long does processing take?

Most images are processed and ready to download in under 2 minutes. On the Pro plan you get priority processing, so your images jump the queue.

What file formats can I upload?

We accept JPG, PNG, WEBP, and HEIC (iPhone photos). Maximum file size is 20MB per image. If you're shooting on an iPhone, you can upload directly — there's no need to convert files first.

Can I upload multiple photos at once?

Yes. On the Pro and Agency plans you can upload up to 20 images at once. Each image is processed independently, so your branding and studio backdrop are applied consistently across every angle.

What happens to the original background?

Our AI precisely cuts out the vehicle from the original photo and replaces the entire background with a clean studio environment — neutral floor, soft lighting, and your brand colour applied to the backdrop. The original photo is not modified; a new image is generated.

Does it work for all vehicle types?

Yes. ShowroomShot works for cars, vans, SUVs, motorcycles, and light commercial vehicles. The AI is trained specifically on automotive photography, so it handles reflective paintwork, low-profile cars, and large vehicles accurately.

Branding

How do I add my dealership branding?

Go to Account → Brand Settings. Upload your dealership logo (PNG with transparent background works best) and pick your brand colour using the colour picker. Once saved, every image you process will automatically carry your branding — you never need to set it again.

Where exactly does the logo appear on the image?

Your logo is placed consistently in the lower corner of every output image, at a size that's clearly visible on listings without obscuring the vehicle. Your brand colour is applied to the studio backdrop and a subtle accent line at the base of the image.

Can I set my dealership branding?

Yes. Set your logo and brand colour once in Account settings and they're applied automatically to every image you process — no need to set it each time. Running multiple franchises under separate brands? Get in touch and we'll sort you out.

Can I turn branding off and get a plain studio image?

Yes. You can toggle branding on or off per upload from the Dashboard. Unbranded outputs are useful if you're preparing images for a manufacturer portal or third-party website with its own branding requirements.

Images & quality

What resolution are the output images?

Output images are full HD (up to 1920 × 1440px), suitable for AutoTrader, your website, social media, and print. The output resolution matches the input — so higher quality photos produce higher quality results.

What if the result doesn't look right?

On paid plans, you can re-process any image at no extra cost within 30 days. If an image consistently produces poor results due to unusual lighting or angles, contact support and we'll investigate. The AI performs best with photos taken in reasonable daylight from a standard 3/4 angle.

How long are my images stored?

Storage depends on your plan:

  • Starter — 90 days
  • Pro — 180 days
  • Agency — 12 months

We recommend downloading your images promptly after processing. You can also download in bulk from your Dashboard at any time while they're within your storage window.

Are there any restrictions on commercial use?

No restrictions. All output images are yours to use commercially — on AutoTrader, your website, social media, print advertising, and anywhere else. There are no watermarks on paid plan outputs.

Plans & pricing

What plans are available?

We offer three monthly plans plus pay-as-you-go top-up credits:

  • Starter — £59/month: 75 images, HD exports (up to 2048px), 90-day storage
  • Pro — £99/month: 175 images, 4K exports (up to 4096px), batch upload (20), 180-day storage
  • Pro Max — £199/month: 400 images, largest batch (50), white-label exports, dedicated account manager

You can also buy top-up credit bundles from the pricing page if you occasionally need more than your plan allows.

What happens if I exceed my monthly image allowance?

Your uploads will pause until the next billing cycle. You won't be charged automatically for overages. To continue processing, you can either upgrade your plan or purchase a top-up credit bundle to cover the extra images.

Do unused images roll over to the next month?

Monthly plan allowances reset each billing cycle and don't roll over. Top-up credit bundles, however, never expire and are used after your monthly allowance runs out.

Is there a discount for annual billing?

Annual billing is coming soon and will include a discount equivalent to two months free. If you'd like to be notified when annual billing launches, contact us and we'll add you to the list.

Account & billing

How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Go to Account → Billing and select the plan you want. Upgrades take effect immediately and you'll be charged a prorated amount for the rest of the billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal date.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel at any time from Account → Billing. There are no cancellation fees and no minimum term. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it won't renew. Your images remain accessible until the end of your storage window.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe. Business cards and BACS/direct debit are available on the Agency plan — contact us to arrange.

Can I get a VAT invoice?

Yes. VAT invoices are generated automatically for every payment and are available to download from Account → Billing. ShowroomShot is a product of Reshot Ltd, a UK-registered company.

Security & data

Are my photos used to train AI models?

No. Your uploaded photos and output images are never used to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. They're stored only to deliver your results and held only for as long as your storage window permits.

How is my data stored and secured?

Images are stored in encrypted cloud storage (Supabase/AWS). All data transfers use HTTPS/TLS. Access to your images is restricted to your account only. We do not share your data with third parties other than those required to operate the service (Stripe for payments, Supabase for storage).

Is ShowroomShot GDPR compliant?

Yes. ShowroomShot is operated by Reshot Ltd, a UK-registered company, and complies with UK GDPR. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting hello@reshot.co.uk.
